Quad Format Rules

•  Serving order: You must serve in the order established at the start of the game. 
•  There are no jump serves allowed in BB/A level. 
• Players in AA/Open are allowed to jump serve
• There is no requirement for rotation.

Play rules 

• Open-handed tips: Open-handed tips are allowed in the indoor quads 
• Blocking: 
  • A block does not count as a team's first touch. 
  • You cannot block a serve. 
• Lift/Carry: When a player makes contact with the ball and the ball goes in two distinct directions before release. Also when the ball gets "stuck" on a player's contact for an extended period of time. 
• Net touches: A player cannot touch the net during play.

• Women: Can attack and block from any position on the court. 
• Men: 
  • Can only attack above the net from behind the 10-foot line. 
  • Attacks from in front of the 10' line - must have at least one foot on the ground and hand below the net.
  • Cannot block at the net.  "Soft blocking" with hands below net height is allowed, but it counts as a touch.
